Turning European resilience innovation into real‑world impact
Impact Brussels is Europe’s resilience innovation orchestrator. We design and run EU projects, consortia and pilots as your deployment, commercialisation and exploitation partner. We link education, impact capital and startup acceleration so that resilience solutions move from research and ideas to real use in farms, cities, markets and communities.
The Disconnection Challenge
Europe has world-class research, entrepreneurial talent and public institutions, and communities facing escalating resilience risks in food, health, climate and social cohesion. Yet most funded innovation never reaches real systems and vulnerable people.
A Europe where world-class research, entrepreneurial talent, capital and public institutions are orchestrated into resilient food, health, climate and community systems – so that resilience reaches every community.
We orchestrate resilience innovation in Europe by designing and running initiatives that move solutions in food, health, climate and communities from idea to real-world use for the people who need them most.
We exist to close this deployment gap – so that resilience innovation actually reaches communities and strengthens Europe’s ability to withstand shocks.
Breakthrough research rarely reaches real systems. Most funded projects end in reports or prototypes, not in cities, farms, hospitals or neighbourhoods where resilience is actually tested.
Innovators lack partners who stay for deployment. Startups, labs and SMEs struggle to find partners who can design pilots, navigate EU funding and stick around long enough to validate and scale solutions.
High-potential consortia never come together. Universities, startups, corporates, cities and investors often work in silos. The right combinations of actors never form, so major EU funding and impact remain unrealised.
Communities are the last to benefit – or not involved at all. Vulnerable communities are rarely at the table when projects are designed. As a result, solutions are not adopted, resilience gaps remain, and trust in innovation erodes.
From idea through funded deployment to community
We follow a simple path. First we clarify the challenge and actors, then we build the right consortium and proposal, and finally we stay in the project to help pilots and deployment actually happen.
Map and connect
We start by listening. We map your goals, constraints and existing partners, then scan our network of universities, startups, corporates and public bodies to see who needs to be in the same consortium or pilot for early business development traction.
Co-create and develop
We co design the project and the consortium with you. Together we sharpen the problem statement, define roles and work packages, and select the EU programmes and calls that match your ambition and capacity, keeping business development in view.
Pilot and scale
The goal is not the grant, it is the deployment. We help set up pilots, coordinate partners, collect evidence and use what we learn to prepare for scaling, spin outs, follow up projects or commercial deals, especially for startups and growth-stage programmes.
Four Focus Areas
We concentrate where resilience matters most – systems that protect communities and strengthen Europe’s sovereignty. In each area, we design and run EU projects, consortia and pilots that move solutions from research to real‑world deployment.
AgriFood systems
Food bio-technology, security, and innovation in farms, supply chains and cities.
Healthy longevity
Health, care and prevention systems that keep people healthier for longer.
Climate adaptation
Practical climate‑risk solutions in energy, water, buildings and local economies.
Community capacity
Local networks, skills and governance that help communities handle shocks.
Who We Connect
We bridge four pillars, translating distinct languages into shared goals and funded pilots.
Innovators
Startups & SMEsValidate and scale your technology with funded pilots, real users and partners that understand both EU funding and go to market.
Researchers
Universities & LabsApply your expertise in the field, access EU funding and work with partners who turn research outputs into deployable, market ready solutions.
Institutions
Public & CorporateDeploy strategic projects with aligned multi party consortia, and partners who stay for the full journey from proposal to deployment.
Communities
Cities & RegionsDefine urgent challenges, co-create pilots and access innovators, startups and researchers who can deploy solutions in your territory.
What Makes Us Different
Non profit, impact first
We are a Brussels-based non-profit organisation. Every euro we earn goes into building and deploying resilient solutions. Our focus stays on long-term resilience, not short-term gain.
Partners, not brokers
We do not stop at introductions. We co-write proposals, join consortia as a partner and stay through the project, with a focus on exploitation, deployment and learning.
Brussels gateway to Europe
We work close to EU programmes and policy circles. We help you navigate calls, initiatives and stakeholders so you do not need to learn the whole system yourself.
Exploitation and commercialisation focus
Many projects are strong on science and weak on exploitation. We take care of this missing piece, turning research results into pilots, partnerships and business models that live after the project ends.
Ecosystem fluency
We speak research, education, startup, corporate and public-sector languages. We translate across these worlds so consortia stay aligned and work moves faster.
Pilots as proof
We design pilots that generate evidence for scaling, follow-up funding and commercial agreements, not just reports or workshops.
How we work together
We combine a small number of simple services that can be shaped around your context and the programme you are targeting.
